SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pennsylvania – Few moments are more exciting in a baseball game than a home run. The players participating in the Little League World Series will get their chance this week to create that same sort of excitement during the Little League World Series Home Run Derby Championship.
The players will take their big cuts Thursday at Volunteer Stadium in Williamsport, and the special will air 7 p.m. Friday on ESPN2.
If you don’t have cable but still want to tune into the action, you’re in luck: Several streaming services will broadcast the games live. You can watch for free on Fubo and DirecTV Stream, which each offer a free trial to first-time users. Another option is Sling, which has promotional pricing offers for new customers.
The top four finishers at both the East and West region finals have earned a trip to Williamsport to compete for their respective baseball and softball titles, according to the LLWS website.
With the Little League World Series well underway and the elimination bracket taking shape, the excitement is only growing as the home run derby nears. After watching the Yankees and Tigers in the Little League Classic on Sunday, there is no doubt that players will mimic their baseball heroes in the batter’s box.
