By As the 2024 Women’s College World Series enters its second day, the intensity ramps up with the start of the elimination games. Four of the eight teams, including No. 14 Alabama, No. 10 Duke, No. 8 Stanford and No. 5 Oklahoma State, are now in a do-or-die situation, fighting tooth and nail to keep their national title dreams alive.
No. 14 Alabama will play against No. 10 Duke after losing to UCLA and Oklahoma on Thursday. In a thrilling turn of events, No. 8 Stanford and No. 5 Oklahoma State will compete in a decisive win-or-go-home game, adding an element of unpredictability to conclude Friday’s play.
Meanwhile, No. 1 Texas, No. 2 Oklahoma, No. 4 Florida and No. 6 UCLA will have a rest day on Friday, building up anticipation before they ramp up action on Saturday.
