By Hugh Freeze and the Auburn Tigers look to take a step forward in 2024, and will look to its wide receiver room to be the driving force for success.
After a disappointing season in which Auburn finished dead last in the SEC by averaging 162 passing yards per game, Freeze revamped his wide receiver unit by bringing in the program’s best wide receiver class and adding several experienced players from the transfer portal. True freshman Cam Coleman will add a spark to the Tigers’ offense while Robert Lewis and KeAndre Lambert-Smith, last season’s leading receivers at Georgia State and Penn State respectively, bring much-needed experience to the table.
Auburn’s wide receiver unit has the tools to be the best in the SEC, but there are still plenty of questions surrounding the group and quarterback Payton Thorne.
