By Team17 and developer Catchweight Studio have announced that Conscript, a survival horror game set amid the mud and blood of the trenches during World War One, is out now.
Inspired by survival horror classics like Resident Evil and Alone in the Dark, Conscript adopts an isometric camera view and pixel art style, and tells a story in which your lone French soldier protagonist faces myriad horrors during the Battle of Verdun in 1916.
Searching for his missing brother, Conscript’s protagonist must scavenge for supplies, survive intense combat encounters with enemy soldiers, and solve complex puzzles. Conscript is now available for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC, priced $21.99/£21.99 or $24.99/£24.99 for the Deluxe Edition.
