Donald R. Dawley

He was born in Silver Creek, NY on May 1, 1953 the son of the late L. Rexford and Betty (nee Graf) Dawley.

Don is survived by his beloved sister, Mary Ellen (Bob Kovacs) of Annandale, VA and many cousin

He was a lifelong area resident, who graduated from Silver Creek High School in 1971.Don continued his education at Jamestown Community College earning an associate degree. He held a variety of jobs and was most recently employed by the Town of Hanover as a maintenance man

His memberships included the Silver Creek Fireman’s Club, where he enjoyed playing pool and participating in their pool league also the Sheridan Memorial VFW Post 6390. He loved anything to do with agricultural equipment , attended many tractor pulls and antique equipment shows. Don enjoyed collecting memorabilia, especially Haley-Davidson and John Deere collectibles. He was a natural mechanic, who could fix anything and would help anybody in need. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave. Silver Creek, NY on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 from 4-7 PM. There will be a Celebration of Life at the Silver Creek Fireman’s Club at a later date. Interment will be private in the Glenwood Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined, memorial contributions in Don’s memory may be made to the Silver Creek Fireman’s Club, 23 Jackson St. Silver creek, NY 14136.
