Gamers saw an 8 GB update to College Football 25 on Tuesday morning. What did they include?

EA Sports laid out some of what it was working on in a Monday post in its Answers HQ page. Not all of what was listed will have been included on Tuesday’s update, but the Orlando-based video game company is working on making its highly popular game run more smoothly.

College Football 25 was the first such game to publish since NCAA Football 14 in 2013. EA announced it had sold more than 2.2 million copies before it even had its worldwide release Friday, July 19.

But it hasn’t come without bugs. The large amount of gamers playing after its early release July 15 may have overloaded the servers on more than one occasion, and doesn’t include a maintenance update in the middle of the week.

Here’s a look at the issues on College Football 25 that EA Sports announced it is fixing:

FSU football War Chant among College Football 25 audio issues

  • Florida State War Chant and Tennessee “Rocky Top” songs can’t be heard on Xbox Series S.
  • Incorrect commentary the first game of the season of Dynasty mode at Utah.

Incorrect logos for SEC, Florida International in College Football 25

EA Sports listed the following teams and conferences had wrong logos in the game:

  • Stanford
  • UMass
  • Western Michigan
  • Jacksonville State
  • FIU
  • New Mexico
  • SEC
  • Conference USA
  • Sun Belt

EA also said UTEP and Wyoming had incorrect athletic branding on their equipment in Dynasty mode, and conference patches on uniforms had an issue with changing conferences for “a small subset of teams” in Dynasty.

FCS teams winning too many upsets in Super Sim?

EA Sports said it was adjusting its Super Sim Logic, which decides results of simulated games in Dynasty mode, after hearing feedback that FCS schools were creating more upsets than intended. College Football 25 doesn’t include any actual FCS schools, so those spots on an FBS team’s schedule are filled with generic teams created by EA.

Here’s some of the other Dynasty issues EA said it’s working on. EA included tips for a workaround on some of these issues:

  • Players unable to load a previously established online dynasty.
  • Adding teams to Pac-12 doesn’t generate a new conference schedule.
  • Modified conference rules aren’t saving.
  • A recruit who reaches their Top 5 stage won’t always display as “Ready for a Visit.”
  • Maximum cap of 20 created coaches instead of the intended 32.
  • Some players’ jersey numbers and/or overall rating changing when editing their equipment.
  • Game freezing when simulating plays quickly after exiting Super Sim.
  • Practice not appearing as an option in the Team tab.

EA also said it was fine-tuning its Recruiting Logic.

Team Builder issues in College Football 25

  • Cleats default to Adidas regardless of selected brand apparel in Play Now.
  • Second custom image layer not appearing in the field.

College Football 25 is available only on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Is College Football 25 crossplay for Dynasty?

College Football 25 players will enable crossplay, so PlayStation 5 users will be able to take on those with an Xbox Series X|S. But cross-platform play is only available in College Football Playoff, Ultimate Team and Play A Friend modes.

College Football 25 price: How much does the game cost?

The standard version of the game is $69.99. The deluxe edition costs $99.99, and the MVP bundle, which includes Madden NFL 25, costs $149.99.
