Luxor, Egypt, often called the “world’s greatest open-air museum,” is now more accessible than ever. This UNESCO World Heritage site, known for its majestic temples, the historic Valley of the Kings, and iconic stone sculptures, is set to benefit from easyJet’s new direct flights from London Gatwick Airport. After being discontinued more than a decade ago, these flights will resume on November 11, 2024. Services will operate every Monday and Tuesday throughout the winter season.

Flights will depart London Gatwick at 9:05 am and arrive in Luxor at 4:25 pm. The return flights will leave Luxor at 5:15 pm, arriving back in the UK at 9:10 pm. The flight duration is approximately five hours and twenty minutes, significantly enhancing accessibility to this ancient marvel.

EasyJet’s round-trip fares for this new route are competitively priced in their ‘Standard’ class, which includes one small cabin bag. Additional fees apply for carry-on and checked baggage. Tickets for this route are available for booking from its launch in November until March 2025.

Additionally, easyJet has announced over 41 new routes from UK airports to various leisure destinations this winter, including three entirely new routes. Starting February 14, 2025, the airline will also begin service to Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt. EasyJet now offers more seats to Egypt from the UK than any other airline, a move expected to shorten travel times for frequent travelers in the region.
