Fanatics Launches Online Sportsbook & Casino In New Jersey

Fanatics went live with its sports betting app and online casino on Wednesday in New Jersey, becoming the final state to make the transition from the PointsBet platform since Fanatics assumed control of the Aussie-based operator’s U.S. portfolio.

New Jersey marks the 20th state in which Fanatics Sportsbook is available, while its online casino can now be accessed in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.

On the sportsbook side, New Jersey PointsBet customers’ usernames, passwords, account balances, rewards points, and responsible gambling settings will be automatically migrated to Fanatics Sportsbook.

As with other state launches, Fanatics account holders can earn up to 5% FanCash back on all sports wagers, regardless of the result, to be used on merchandise or bonus bets.

Specific to its online casino, Fanatics has partnered with industry-leading game designers like Boom Entertainment, Evolution, IGT, and Light & Wonder to offer a robust suite of online slots, casino titles, and live-dealer games like multi-hand blackjack and lightning roulette.

Going out with a bang

PointsBet went out with something of a bang in New Jersey, ranking as the state’s second biggest sportsbook in terms of gross gaming revenue in March — behind FanDuel but ahead of DraftKings.

In fairness, this was all due to a well-publicized peculiarity: A lone VIP bettor — “the biggest legal player by far” in the U.S., according to one Sports Handle source — was reportedly responsible for PointsBet’s massive uptick.
