Fund created to benefit Fredonia Opera House

A fund at Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation has been set up in memory of Gertrude C. and Jay Finley and in honor of Marsha Finley, the longtime Business/Box Office Manager for the 1891 Fredonia Opera House.

The Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation (NCCF) announces the establishment of a new Designated Fund for the 1891 Fredonia Opera House Performing Arts Center, generously created by an anonymous donor. This newly endowed fund, set up in memory of Gertrude C. and Jay Finley and in honor of Marsha Finley, the longtime Business/Box Office Manager for the 1891 Fredonia Opera House, ensures perpetual support for this historic cultural institution.

“We are incredibly grateful for this generous gift, which honors the Finley family’s legacy and Marsha Finley’s dedicated service,” said Rick Davis, Executive Director of the 1891 Fredonia Opera House. “This fund will have a lasting impact, ensuring the continued success and vitality of our beloved Opera House.”

The establishment of this fund is a testament to the powerful impact that individuals can have on their community. The NCCF invites others to consider starting their own funds to support causes close to their hearts or the community at large. Establishing a fund at NCCF is a meaningful way to create a lasting legacy and contribute to the well-being and growth of the northern Chautauqua region. With a minimum of $10,000, you can establish a Designated Fund to support a specific organization or cause. These funds are endowed, providing perpetual support and ensuring a long-term impact. Those wishing to provide more general support to the community may consider establishing a named Community Fund. This type of fund requires a minimum of $3,500. These flexible funds allow NCCF’s Board of Directors to address the most pressing needs in the community and maximize opportunities as they arise. Both types of funds offer flexible payment options and various giving methods, many of which provide significant tax benefits for the donor.

Whether you are passionate about the arts, education, healthcare, or any other cause, the staff at NCCF is here to guide you through the process of setting up a fund.
