Harbor Freight Tools ready to service all of Bristol County — from contractors to homeowners

FAIRHAVEN — Harbor Freight Tools has opened a new store in Fairhaven with tools, equipment and accessories for professional contractors and technicians, homeowners and hobbyists.

The company hired locally and brought between 25 and 30 new jobs to the surrounding community, according to a press release.

“Our team is ready to serve and deliver value to customers in Fairhaven and all of Bristol County,” store manager Joel Costa said in the release. “At Harbor Freight, we recognize that now, more than ever, our customers depend on us for the tools they need to get the job done at an affordable price.”

The store is located at 13 Berdon Way.

According to the release, the company prides itself on its world-class team of engineers and experts in all tool categories to ensure that its tools meet or exceed industry standards and deliver unsurpassed value, according to the release.

The store will stock a full selection of tools and equipment in categories including automotive, air and power tools, storage, outdoor power equipment, generators, welding supplies, shop equipment and hand tools.

Averaging 15,000 square feet, the stores are smaller and are said to be much easier to shop than the huge home centers.

This new store is the 23rd Harbor Freight Tools store in Massachusetts.

About Harbor Freight Tools

The family-owned company started in Southern California in 1977, when Eric Smidt began bypassing middlemen, working directly with factories, and passing the savings on to customers.

The first store opened in 1980, and the company has grown to over 500 stores nationwide. With two to three new locations opening every week, Harbor Freight is one of America’s fastest growing retailers.

The Fairhaven store will be open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
