How to Watch 2024 Little League Softball World Series today – August 9 | Channel, stream, preview

GREENVILLE, NC — After a couple of games being pushed back due to the terrible weather going through North Carolina, the Little League Softball World Series gets back underway on Friday.

ORANGE BRACKET

Canada (0-1) vs. Mexico (0-1)

Mexico had an unwelcome debut in this year’s World Series, as they lost their first game to Austintown (OH), 6-0, on Sunday. Canada was also shut out in their first game of the tournament, as the team from Quebec lost 8-0 to Sterlington (LA) on Monday. Whoever wins this game plays Salisbury later in the day.

North Carolina (Salisbury) (1-1) vs. Canada/Mexico

After dropping their first game of the tournament, Salisbury came up with a convincing effort to beat the team from Idaho 9-0 in its first elimination game on Tuesday.

Ohio (2-0) vs. Louisiana (2-0)

Sterlington has yet to surrender a run in its first two games, outscoring their opponents 13-0. Austintown also posted shutouts in their opening pair of contests, beating Mexico and North Carolina (Salisbury) by a combined score of 8-0.

Either Ohio or Louisiana will be heading to the first semifinal.

PURPLE BRACKET

Philippines (0-1) vs. Arizona (1-1)

The Philippines is hoping they can find some offense with their season on the line, as they dropped their first game to Winterville, 10-0, on Sunday. Wilcox Little League took a step back after winning their first game of the LLSWS, as they dropped a 3-0 decision to Cranston (RI) on Monday. Whichever side wins will face the team from Pennsylvania in the afternoon.

Pennsylvania (1-1) vs. Philippines/Arizona

Greensburg managed to stay alive in the World Series thanks to a close 2-1 win over Italy on Tuesday.

Rhode Island (1-0) vs. North Carolina (Winterville) (2-0)

The defending World Series champions are looking unstoppable. Winterville has won both of its games by a combined score of 26-0. Cranston Western Little League has only had to play one game so far, that coming as a 3-0 win over Arizona on Monday.

Winner of this game goes directly to the bracket championship game.
