Sioux Falls Little League lost a tough one to start off their visit to Williamsport, falling to Lake Mary (FL), 2-1, on Wednesday. Staten Island had a little bit of a tough time against Henderson (NV) on Thursday, losing 9-1.

After a slow start, Salem tried to rally late against Hawaii in their first game on Wednesday but lost 3-1. The “home team” from Newtown did not serve their fans well in the opening game of the tournament, as they lost to a good team from Texas on Thursday, 9-0.

Whalley Little League is trying to keep its LLBWS hopes alive on Saturday after losing 8-0 to Chinese Taipei in their first game of the tournament. Puerto Rico was also on the losing end of a blowout, falling 11-0 to Japan on Thursday.
