The venue has garnered the limelight for all negative reasons. The drop-in tracks have behaved weirdly so far, giving nightmares to the batters. Sri Lanka registered their lowest T20I score while other teams, like South Africa and Netherlands, have struggled big time to get three figures.
Last time when India played Ireland in their campaign opener, overcast conditions made the Irish batters suffer against a potent Indian bowling attack. Moreover, in the six innings of the three matches hosted at the stadium so far, teams have surpassed the 100-run mark only twice.
