Kolkata Metro: Revised train operations on Green Line-2 from today due to maintenance – Infrastructure News

Due to emergency maintenance work, the Kolkata Metro Authority has announced revised train operations on the Green Line-2 starting from September 8, 2024. The changes will affect the frequency of services during non-peak hours.

Reduced Frequency During Non-Peak Periods

From September 8, Metro services on the Green Line-2 will experience reduced frequency during non-peak periods, which are defined as follows: 07:00 to 09:00 hours, 11:00 to 17:00 hours, and 20:00 to 21:55 hours on weekdays. The adjustment aims to accommodate essential maintenance tasks and ensure the safety and reliability of the metro system.

Despite the reduced frequency, the stoppage time of each train at every station will remain unchanged at 30 seconds. Commuters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and allow for additional travel time during these periods.
