Lake Mary Little League is one win away from playing in the championship game of the U.S. bracket in the 2024 Little League World Series.
The Florida Little League team plays Henderson, Nevada tonight for the right to face Bourne, Texas on Saturday. Lake Mary, representing the Southeast region, is 4-1 in the 2024 LLWS. After opening the double-elimination tournament with two victories, Lake Mary lost to Texas 4-1 on Monday, then rebounded with a 6-1 win Tuesday vs. Staten Island, New York and a 4-3 win Wednesday vs. Wailuku, Hawaii.
Paseo Verde Little League, the Mountain region champions, beat New York 9-1 and Hawaii 3-2 to start its LLWS run before falling to Texas 5-2 on Wednesday. Tonight’s winner has a rematch with Texas to decide who represents the United States in Sunday’s Little League World Series championship game.
