Lake Mary Little League nabs regional championship
After clinching the regional championship, the Lake Mary Little League All-Star team returned home on Wednesday afternoon to a warm welcome at the Lake Mary Sports Complex.

The Lake Mary Little League team has finally lost in the 2024 Little League World Series. But their time in Williamsport isn’t over: The Florida team can still make the LLWS championship.
Lake Mary first needs to beat the team from Staten Island, New York tonight in an elimination game. Florida fell into this position after falling 4-1 to Boerne, Texas on Monday night after winning their first two games against Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Puyallup, Washington. JJ Feliciano struck out seven for Florida, but Texas put up three runs in the third to support Julian Hurst’s 10-strikeout complete game.
South Shore Little League from Staten Island lost its first game of the LLWS 9-1 against Henderson, Nevada. But the New York team has stayed alive by winning two straight games, 6-3 vs. Sioux Falls and 4-0 on Sunday vs. Hinsdale, Illinois. Vincent Ruggiero pitched five innings, allowing two hits with seven strikeouts, while Dean Scarangello finished off the shutout while adding two RBIs.
