NASCAR heads to the mountains of Pennsylvania for its annual Cup Series race at Pocono Raceway on Sunday.

The “Tricky Triangle,” as Pocono is known, is one of the most unique ovals in NASCAR with just three turns instead of four and the longest front stretch in the series at 3,740 feet. Each of the three turns also has different degrees of banking with Turn 1, coming out of the front stretch, at 14 degrees; Turn 2, AKA the Tunnel Turn, at 8 degrees; and Turn 3, leading back into the front straightaway, at 6 degrees.

No driver has mastered the “Tricky Triangle” as well as Denny Hamlin, whose seven wins at the track are the most in NASCAR history. Another win at Pocono would also give Hamlin his fourth victory of the 2024 season, which would lead the series.
