By Sometimes we stretch the powers of Nick Castellanos. We’ll really push his abilities to homer when anything of significance happens in the world. Well, earlier today his partner in crime Thom Brennaman got hired by the CW to call college football games this fall.
I’m sure it was right then and there that people began to tweet and text about putting money on Nick to go deep. To really lock things up, about 90 minutes later Joe Biden announced he was withdrawing his name from the 2024 Presidential election. That set the stage for Castellanos to do this thing. In the 9th inning it was his moment and boy did he deliver.
Pretty tough pitch to hit out too if we’re being honest. It’s gotten to the point where if Castellanos homers you’re supposed to then go check the news to see what happened. He rarely wastes one. He’s having a bad season by his standards, but as long as there’s a big moment in history happening he will rise to the occasion and belt one. If you’re not running to place a wager on him to homer after Biden steps down from re-election then what are you even doing? Feels like we could eliminate inflation with the right minds handling our economy. I wonder if sportsbooks quickly lower his odds the moment something like today goes down. It’s his Popeye spinach. Probably was hanging out on the dugout rail when he heard fans talking behind him about who the new Democratic nominee will be. He then goes into the tunnel, checks his phone, and transforms into a home run hitting machine.
P.S. Biden not saying he considers himself a man of faith in his statement was such a miss. Have a sense of the moment one time for me.
