By LULING, Texas (Gray News) – The world’s largest Buc-ee’s is set to open on June 10.
The new Buc-ee’s in Luling, Texas, will be the largest location in the country, according to a news release.
The store located off Interstate 10 will open to the public at 6 a.m. CT, followed by a ribbon cutting at noon.
The new store is more than 75,000 square feet large and will replace Luling’s current Buc-ee’s store that was built in 2003.
It will have 120 fueling stations and thousands of drink and snack options that Buc-ee’s is famous for.
“We are thrilled to open the doors to the world’s largest Buc-ee’s travel center right here in the Great State of Texas,” said Buc-ee’s Director of Real Estate and Development, Stan Beard.
The new Buc-ee’s just barely beats out the current record holder for the largest Buc-ee’s store in the world. That title is currently held by the store in Sevierville, Tennessee, which opened in June 2023. At 74,000 square feet large, it is just 1,000 square feet less than the new location in Luling, Texas.
The new Luling store will employ at least 200 people with starting pay “well above minimum wage,” according to the news release.
Employees also receive full benefits, a 6% matching 401k, and three weeks of paid vacation.
The opening of the Buc-ee’s in Luling marks the 50th store across Texas and the South.
Buc-ee’s began a multi-state expansion in 2019 and has since opened stores in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Missouri, and Colorado.
