Patricia Borowski Walgate

Patty was a graduate of Cardinal Mindszenty High School, Class of 1965,in Dunkirk ,where she was class Secretary, a cheerleader, and participated in musicals. After graduation she continued her studies at Bryant and Stratton Business School in Buffalo NY. After graduation she then began her secretarial career at Niagara Therapy in Brocton, NY. Her career path led her to the Campus Life Office at the State University of New York at Fredonia where she became responsible for the supervision of work study students, booked events in the academic classrooms beyond the class schedule ,and assisted student organizations. Pat was the first person students,staff and visitors encountered when they came to Campus Life. She also enjoyed retirement!

Besides her parents , she was predeceased by her husband Edward Walgate and the late Joel Michalske

Patty enjoyed traveling with family and friends, especially driving cross country, her time boating on Chautauqua Lake , Buffalo Bills season tickets and Super Bowls, shopping and her pups Max and Maxine.

Patty is survived by her cousin Mary Borowski-Burns (Robert Burns) of Bemus Point, NY; step daughters Karen Schenk (Kevin), Frances Walgate, Judith Walgate,Joyce Mann (Blair), and Elizabeth Walgate of Grand Island NY. Step grandmother to Kelly Schenk, Kristy (Trace)Mead, Megan Mann, and Edward Mann.

Also survived by brother in law Terry Michalske (Sue) ,Stosh, and Kate of Albuquerque NM, Nephew Tim Michalske and family of South Carolina, Also her aunt , Alice Konczyk of West Seneca and many cousins from Buffalo , Pennsylvania and Dunkirk.

A remembrance Mass will be celebrated on June 1st at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity RC Church 1032 Central Avenue Dunkirk NY .
