1. ‘Mancini & Friends’ concert in Melbourne
Melbourne Municipal Band presents “Mancini & Friends,” a not-in-the-park picnic concert, at the Melbourne Auditorium, 625 E. Hibiscus Blvd., on Wednesday and Thursday, June 5 and 6, at 6:30 p.m. The program will include Henry Manicini hits, including “The Pink Panther” and “Moon River,” along with music of Leroy Anderson, Sammy Nestico and others. 2. ‘British Harmonies’ concert on Merritt Island
The Community Band of Brevard will give a “British Harmonies” concert at the Merritt Island High School auditorium, 100 Mustang Way, on Sunday, June 2 at 3 p.m. The program will include music from British marches to folk tunes to the Fab Four. 3. ‘Miss Witherspoon’ at Melbourne Civic Theatre
Melbourne Civic Theatre’s play reading series will feature “Miss Witherspoon” by Christopher Durang on Saturday, June 1 at 2 p.m. The play, a dark comedy, follows a woman who has “had enough” and killed herself. She hopes there will be no afterlife, but to her surprise, she finds herself with a sweet but firm Indian woman who tries to force her to reincarnate. The play will be read by Brevard actors Victoria Smith, Zamira Marquez, Julia Jordan, Holly McFarland Karnes and Aaron McFarland Karnes. The theater is at 817 E. Strawbridge Ave., Melbourne. 4. ‘Sunset in the Hollows’ walks in Melbourne
Hundred Acre Hollows, 1170 Rock Springs Drive, Melbourne, will be open Sundays, June 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. Take a nature walk on the 2-mile trail or a shorter stroll along the berms. Enjoy sunset photography, birdwatching, and spotting wildlife including raccoons, deer and bobcats. There is also an Audubon native plant garden and a Keep Brevard Beautiful native plant garden. 5. Shows at the King Center

- Special EFX: Jazz-fusion group Special EFX featuring Chieli Minucci will give a concert at the King Center’s Studio Theater on Saturday, June 1 at 7:30 p.m. The program will also feature Eric Marienthal on sax, Brian Bromberg on bass, Jay Rowe and Joel Rosenblatt. Tickets start at $60.
- Kim and Kayla Waters: Regalitos presents a benefit for Brevard’s underserved community on Sunday, June 2 at 4 p.m. in the King Center’s Studio Theater. Father and daughter team Kim Waters, saxophonist, and Kayla Waters, pianist, will give a concert. Tickets start at $67.50.
6. Auditions at Melbourne Civic Theatre
Melbourne Civic Theatre, 817 E. Strawbridge Ave., Melbourne, will hold auditions for the play “The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife” by Charles Busch on Sunday and Monday, June 2 and 3 at 7 p.m. Roles are available for two men ages 20 to 65, and three women ages 45 to 75. The audition will consist of readings from the script. The performance dates are Aug. 2 through Sept. 8. Call 321-723-6935 or visit mymct.org.
