Can one of golf’s modern legends win one more major?

Tiger Woods is on the prowl for his 16th career major win this week at the 2024 U.S. Open. It is the first time Woods is playing in the major since 2020, when he missed the cut by four strokes.

If he accomplishes a victory at the twilight of his career, Woods would move within two major wins of record holder Jack Nicklaus. It would also be the fourth U.S. Open title of his career and first since his iconic win on a broken leg in 2008.

The 48 year old will have his work cut out for him. He’ll be competing against 155 other golfers this week and looking to make his first cut at the U.S. Open since 2019. Woods missed the cut at the PGA Championship in May and finished 60th (last) of golfers who made the cut at the Masters in April.

Here’s what to know about the American golfer at the 2024 U.S. Open.
