By By the end of the night Wednesday, Texas A&M baseball just might have earned the biggest win in program history.
The No. 3 Aggies will square off against either No. 2 Kentucky or Florida in the 2024 College World Series at Charles Schwab Field Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska. A victory will send coach Jim Schlossnagle’s team to the CWS championship series for the first time in Texas A&M history.

The Aggies have previously played both the Wildcats and Gators, defeating the former 5-1 on Monday night and getting past the latter 3-2 late last Saturday night in a rain-delayed game.
A victory against either team Wednesday night would send Kentucky or Florida home from the double-elimination tournament. Should Texas A&M lose the game, they Aggies would face off again on Thursday, with the victorious side in that matchup moving on to the CWS championship series, which begins on Saturday.

Prior to the CWS, the Aggies had not played Kentucky this season and went 1-2 against Florida in a series in mid-March in Gainesville, Florida.
